Air Ambulance Zone
See the Air Ambulance up close - plus the hot-air balloons

On entry to the Ferrari Funday your first priority will be to check in at the Air Ambulance Zone, right next to the entrance, and to make a close up inspection of the BOB (Berks, Oxon & Bucks) Eurocopter EC135 Air Ambulance Helicopter.
Depending on operational duties you will be able to talk to the paramedics who fly in the helicopter and learn a bit more about their work.
Volunteers from the Air Ambulance Trust will also be on hand to answer your questions and tell you more about all the fund raising activities the Trust is involved in to ensure that our local Air Ambulance kept operational for the benefit of all in our area.
It always gives a thrill to see hot-air balloons floating seemingly effortlessly in the sky. A far cry from the power and noise of a helicopter! The hot-air balloon is the oldest successful human-carrying flight technology, dating back to its invention by the Montgolfier brothers in Annonay, France in 1783.

But the technology has moved on a long way since those days. This is your chance to see modern *hot-air balloons at close quarters. They will be tethered to the ground so that they don't disappear from our view!
* The Hot Air Balloon feature is weather dependent as they are not capable of flying in windy conditions
